What made you say YES to this journey?

I said yes because something in me knew it was time.

Not just time to get back in shape or fit into a class reunion dress — time to reclaim the rhythm that delay tried to rob from me.

This yes was different.

It wasn’t performance-based. It wasn’t to prove I still had “it.”

It was to honor the body, the breath, the assignment I’ve been entrusted with.

I’ve spent seasons cheering others on while quietly wondering if I’d ever feel that same fire for myself again. I’ve been clapped for in private, overlooked in public, and underestimated in rooms I was born to influence. But I’m not shrinking anymore.

This yes is for the woman who always showed up but rarely slowed down.

For the one who hid her glow to keep the peace.

For the one who held the promise, but not the posture.

I said yes because alignment feels better than applause.

Because sweat from obedience is different than sweat from striving.

Because even when I was drifting, God never let go.

This glow-up? It’s not for show. It’s for God’s glory.
