“Every Step Ordered, Every Dollar Assigned”

Date: July 12, 2025

“Direct my footsteps according to Your word; let no sin rule over me.” — Psalm 119:133 (NIV)

There’s something sacred about the days that cost you something. Not just in money — but in movement, mindset, and obedience. Today was one of those days.

As I dropped Charlei off for her summer reading session at the University of Memphis, I felt the weight of why again. Not just why we show up for our kids — but why we keep showing up for God, even in the unseen. There’s a peace in knowing that every step was already accounted for. Every detail already in God’s hands.

And Psalm 119? It echoed louder today than usual.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (v.105)

That verse hits different when you’re walking by faith — not by budget, not by opinion, not even by certainty. But by Word. By promise. By peace.

And then, during prayer this morning…

I heard it. One word.

“Cleanse.”

It wasn’t loud — but it was sure.

And I knew it wasn’t just about my body or space.

It was about alignment. Atmosphere. Assignment.

God is cleansing what can’t go with me.

Cleansing distractions that delay obedience.

Cleansing residue from old decisions that once made sense but no longer carry purpose.

And as He cleanses — He clarifies.

Obedience doesn’t always come with applause, but it always carries assignment.

Because what looks like a regular school drop-off is often a Kingdom planting.

What feels like a routine day can be an eternal deposit.

I don’t take this lightly.

I don’t carry this alone.

And I don’t walk these steps unaware.

He is cleansing, clearing, and ordering every single one.

And I trust Him with the path.

Reflection Prompt:

Where in your life is God cleansing something to make room for alignment?
