There’s a reason Scripture warns us not just about rage—but about jealousy. Unlike anger, jealousy wears a mask. It can show up looking like support, even celebration. But in the spirit, it’s disruptive, suffocating, and dangerous.

“Anger is cruel and fury overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy?”

— Proverbs 27:4

Jealousy doesn’t strike immediately—it infiltrates. It creeps in through unguarded access, especially through people close enough to admire, mimic, or critique your movement. And often, by the time you feel it, it’s already been watching for a while.

Discernment Check:

Jealousy tends to show up in the following ways:

Excessive flattery followed by subtle competition
Silence during your wins, but loud during your struggles
Repeating your language or ideas without acknowledgment
Mimicking your calling but resisting your authority
Sudden distance when you enter divine acceleration

It’s a protective gift from the Holy Spirit that helps you manage access, alignment, and atmosphere.
