When Healing Meets Its Time

“When Healing Meets Its Time”

John 5 & Ecclesiastes 3

“Do you want to get well?”

It’s such a simple question — and yet Jesus asked it with weight. Because sometimes, healing isn’t hindered by God’s power… it’s delayed by our permission.

In John 5, the man had been lying at the pool for 38 years. Waiting. Hoping. Stuck. He wasn’t just crippled in body — his mindset had settled into helplessness. And yet when Jesus approached him, He didn’t immediately heal him. He questioned his will.

“Do you want to be made whole?”

And that same question is echoing today.

Healing doesn’t just show up on a schedule — it meets the season.

And according to Ecclesiastes 3:1, there is a time for every purpose under heaven.

What if today is the time?

What if this is the moment when the stirring is no longer external — but internal?

There are moments in our lives when God doesn’t just stir the water — He shakes the soul.

Not to break us, but to wake us.

So maybe healing has always been near.

Maybe the timing has been divine all along.

Maybe Heaven’s waiting on your “yes” — not just to feel better, but to be made whole.

Healing Reflection:

  • Are there areas I’ve grown “comfortable” in dysfunction?

  • Have I allowed time to talk me out of God’s timing?

  • Am I truly ready to rise and walk in the healing that’s already been made available?

Closing Prayer:

Lord, I say yes.

Yes to being made whole. Yes to no longer hiding behind the wait. Yes to stepping into the season You’ve already written. If this is the time, I won’t hesitate. I surrender to Your healing flow — body, mind, and soul. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
